Today I want to talk to you guys about what
happens when you start to let all of your
belief systems and all of the learnings that
you have had since you were a child about
all your food, how that really blocks your
own intelligence. So…just let’s imagine
for a minute…you are thinking about a cube
of cheese…..What’s the first thing that
came to your mind ? For some people, its ‘fat’.
Let’s imagine….coconut oil…Oh my God ! Saturated
fat ! The media really thrashed it for a really
really long time.
Let’s think about…butter…..butter is something
that is very indulgent and very guilt inducing
and something that I should probably avoid.
Is that something that you believe ? So all
of these things that you have been thinking
about your food are actually stopping your
body from speaking to you about what it really
feels. Two different meals which are both
high carbohydrates can be completely different
for you body. One…. could be a completely
whole grain based meal, which is actually
great for your body because that contains
lot of fiber and its really easy for your
body to digest. Another meal, could actually
be very refined, full of carbs and actually
really bad for you. The truth is that you
will know when you eat those kind of foods,
when you’ll feel little bit wonky, a little
bit weird, a little bit bloated and not light
enough, and feeling really heavy in your head
as well. This is the kind of indications that
are already telling you, between those two
meals, what’s best for you and what’s not.
But if you continue to think, ‘High carb’
is problem. Low carbohydrate diet is what
that has always helped me to reduce weight.
If you continue to have all of those belief
systems, you are never going to be open to
what your body’s intelligence is actually
telling you. So, in a way, you are actually
loosing out by not paying attention to your
body’s wisdom and actually bombarding yourself
with all of this external information, belief
systems and conditioning that you had over
the years. The cheese which has added emulsifiers,
preservatives, other wonky stuff which you
don’t really want is completely different
from a really nice, small, fresh piece of
cheese which is free of all those additives.
Its probably OK to have once in a while. It
depends on what your body’s intelligence is
telling you. If you are a lactose intolerant
you are probably not going to like that cheese.
Your body is not going to like that definitely.
So…at the end of the day, it is so much
more dependable what your body tells you as
compared to what you have heard over the years
from different media, news, articles, uncles,
aunties, well wishers, friends who claim to
know what it is that you should eat. The truth
is that they know nothing about what really
works for you. So stop telling yourself that
the beliefs that you have held for such a
long time are true. Because they are not.
And if you keep holding on to them, you are
never going to know what it is that really
works for you. So, I really want you to shake
up all of your belief systems, start to notice
things from a new perspective and, at the
end of the day, it all depends on what’s really
working for you. So your belief systems are
not going to take you there. So you can say
‘bye bye’ to them. Alright. I hope you really
