Préparer l’hiver avec les fruits et légumes.


Winter is on its way.
Winter is coming.
And just like every year,
it comes with its troops of colds,
earaches, stomach viruses and flu.
So, to fight back, our natural defences
will have to be ubiquitous. 
To give them a helping hand, there’s nothing
better than eating a healthy and varied diet.
With regular physical activity,
it’s the best way to give our body
all the nutrients it needs
on a daily basis to stay healthy. 
Our immune system needs copper and
vitamins A, B6, B9, C and E to function properly.
You don’t have to look very far to find them,
the easiest way is to put them on your plate,
starting with at least 5 servings
of fruits and vegetables every day! 
Well, in winter, the choice of
fruits and vegetables is limited …

Are you sure?
All kinds of cabbage,
spinach, root vegetables,
leeks, squash, as well as apples,
pears, citrus fruits, kiwis,
persimmons and exotic fruits
are on the shelves, you do get a wide choice. 
Okay, but right now the program’s more
about Welsh rarebit and hot chocolate.
Considering the weather,
thanks for the salad, but… no thanks! 
We get it, you’re tired of cold weather
and of the days getting shorter?
Dealing with comfort,
fruit and vegetables have it all:
creamy soups,
melt-in-the-mouth gratins, roasted vegetables,
or homemade compotes and crumbles.
