Latinos Try Fast Food For The First Time

– I think I’m gonna be grossed out.
– Have you had it before?
– [Man] No–
– No?
– [Man] Because everyone
says it’s liquid meat.
– It’s what?
What’s liquid meat?
– I just got a brain freeze, hold on.
– I would absolutely have this again.
– We can cut.
– Today, we’re gonna
have American fast food
we’ve never tried before.
There’s a lot of fast foods
I feel like I haven’t had.
– I’ve never had Carl’s Jr.
because, honestly, I think
all they sell is burgers,
I’d rather go to
McDonald’s or Burger King.
Or Wendy’s, mmm, I like a Wendy’s.
– I’ve never had Sonic,
I’ve never had Wendy’s, I’ve never had–
– Wienerschrema, whatever.
Wienerschnitzel!
Fatburger…
– A couple ones that I
haven’t had would be Arby’s.
– I haven’t tried Jack in the Box.
I haven’t had Whataburger.
I think I’m gonna be grossed out,
that’s my honest opinion.
(speaking in foreign language)
– That will help.
Oh yeah!
– [Woman] There you go.
– Thank you.
This is so cool because
I’ve never really come close
to anything Carl’s Jr. Branded.
I like that, it’s like a
cute star, I like that.
(speaking in foreign language)
Entering burger nirvana.
(speaking in foreign language)
We’re gonna enter burger nirvana.
– Start with the most important part.
Mm, that right there just helps everything
taste a little better.
– What is all of this?
This is like for three people.
– [Woman] Well, the middle
one is a chocolate frosty
and it’s one of the
iconic items from Wendy’s.
– Wow, iconic, I’m excited!
– What do I have here?
Oh, a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, okay.
(speaking in foreign language)
Chicken nuggets, wow.
Who went shopping for me?
This is a real nice meal here.
– We got curly fries.
What else do we have?
Ooh, it looks like mozzarella sticks,
and the big shebang meal of the day is
the Classic Roast Beef, which
I’m guessing is like a Whopper
in their version.
– What do I try first?
I don’t know, okay, let’s
just go with the burger.
Famous Star with Cheese,
that’s the name of this burger.
(speaking in foreign language)
You got pickles, onions, tomato,
mixture of the ketchup and the mayo,
which is like mayo-ketchup,
and you got cheese.
My mouth is watering,
let’s just go for it.
This is not bad.
It tastes exactly like a Whopper.
So, what came first, a
Whopper or a Carl’s Jr.?
(laughs)
– Oh no, this is the type of food
no one ever wants to
eat in front of people.
Yum.
Mmm, mmhm.
I love the hotdog.
It’s gross but delicious.
– So, here we have the
Classic Roast Beef sandwich.
No mayo or condiments.
That just looks like (speaking
in foreign language),
you know?
(speaking in foreign language)
Everything’s super dry.
I don’t know, roast beef
doesn’t it go with like
the beef juice?
If it wasn’t for the soda,
I’d be choking on my words right now.
– I’m gonna try the chicken nuggets.
My mouth is watering as I speak.
The nuggets are really, really good,
the breading on the nugget in itself,
it has a lot of spice
and a lot of seasoning
but not overbearing and it’s not so bland.
Usually like McDonald’s,
the breading kinda
comes off of the chicken
and this one stays on it,
like, you can see it sticks
together really, really well.
Wendy’s is a game changer
for these chicken nuggets,
this is so good.
I don’t know how I lived
my life without these.
– It looks like a fast food burger.
There’s a lot of bread and
the patty’s kind of thin,
so the commercials are not accurate.
It tastes like a Burger King burger
or even like a McDonald’s,
like a cheeseburger.
I’m not mad at it.
– I’m really excited about
trying these chicken tenders though
because I love crispy chicken tenders
and we got some buttermilk ranch.
This is really good.
I kinda like these more
than the McDonald’s one.
– What are these little things?
– [Woman] Those are little corn dogs.
– Here we go.
That’s not bad, actually really good.
Oh, there’s a hot dog in there.
Duh, corn dog, hot dog in a, I don’t know.
– I love, love, love cheese.
Let’s dip in some marinara
with the mozzarella stick.
Maybe if it was heated up more
it would be like a nice
cheese pool kinda thing,
like a nice (buzzer buzzes)
yeah, that’s dry.
But it’s a good marinara sauce,
I’ve tasted really,
really bad marinara sauce
that I just wouldn’t enjoy again.
– What I like about the fries is that
you can see the potato skin on the fry,
not a lot of places do that.
This is really good, it
gives you like a fresh feel.
Not better than McDonald’s fries
but they’re still good,
makes ’em feel a little healthier.
– Wow, their fries are
actually really good.
I like that they’re kinda battered,
they have a little bit more
flavor to them which is nice.
– The fries have like a weird seasoning,
not weird but like different,
like a Cajun seasoning,
but it’s not spicy or anything,
it’s just, it gives a kick.
They could be crunchier.
– Just looking at this, I can already tell
these are not like McDonald’s fries
which are my favorite.
Kinda soggyish, they
don’t look very salty, so.
– Let’s do the curly fries.
I like the curly fries from Checkers,
a lot more enjoyable than this.
– I’m gonna go for the burger now,
what kind of burger is this?
(gasps) A cheeseburger.
(gasps) Wow!
This is, they put some thought
into this cheeseburger.
This gives me like Junior Whopper vibes.
All right, let’s go.
Mmm, my god.
(speaking in foreign language)
This is (bleep) good.
Look, you can see that, the ketchup.
That is fucking good.
I like a good little saucy little burger.
– All right, chicken nuggets.
I like how small they are,
they’re little nuggets.
I like Wendy’s nuggets better
but these aren’t bad, these are good.
– I’m a Vanilla kinda girl, but.
Wow, this is good!
Damn, my taste buds are just like woo,
dancing in my mouth right now.
– [Woman] A lot of people dip
their fries in the frosty.
– I do that at In-N-Out with
my fries and my milkshake.
It’s really good,
just ’cause I don’t like
chocolate ice cream like that,
but it’s good for what it is.
– The chicken tenders are bomb.
This is the reason why
I would go out of my way
to go to Carl’s Jr.
From one to 10, I would rate it a seven.
Mainly, I would give three
points for this, three,
and one point for the fries.
It’s still fast food.
It’ll still give you
(speaking in foreign language)
but it’s good for when you’re drunk.
– I’m surprised by how good this was.
I would give this like an eight.
I didn’t like the fries
but I don’t think they’re
meant to serve fries anyway.
And yeah, it’s not very healthy but
(speaking in foreign language).
– When it comes to this sandwich alone,
this truly makes it like a one or two,
everything else is what’s bumping it up
to like a six or seven.
– I was expecting it to be really bad.
On a scale of one to 10,
I would probably give this like a seven.
How high can you go with fast food, right?
Is there really a 10 out of 10?
– From one to 10, Wendy’s gets a 10.
It’s really freakin’ good.
No wonder Wendy’s always beefing
with McDonald’s via Twitter,
like I get the beef now.
(mysterious music)
– [Child] Pero Like.
