HOW TO MAKE BOILED CIDER (simple, organic recipe)


we have some extra cider left over from thanksgiving
that we didn’t drink so i am going to show
you guys how we make boiled cider i am going
to make it into a syrup for all of our holiday
cocktails this is 64 oz of cider we’re going
to go pour this into a pan and boil it and
boil it and boil it until it turns into syrup
lets go alright we want to pick a pan with
a really large surface area it will help evaporate
it a lot faster if you pick a smaller sauce
pan it’s going to take a lot longer if you
are health conscious and care about what you
are putting in your body make sure that this
is organic we are going to be concentrating
this a lot so we don’t want to drink anything
any pesticides in a large amount uh one gallon
should produce about a pint of syrup we’re
going to crank this up i’ll probably end up
turning it down to medium but we’re going
to let this do its thing i have a feeling
that this is going to take awhile if you are
curious of where i got this cider my sister
and have an organic juice business you can
watch us make the cider for the first time

of us making it in the truck so if you have
a juicer you can definitely make your own
cider at home and then boil it down and reduce
it it smells really good you think we should
add some cinnamon to it i brought over movies
it’s starting to reduce that is about where
the line was we are an hour in don’t burn

from it is definitely getting thicker we’ll
come back and check on it medium heat it smell

it’s almost done it taste like an apple pie
wow whoa i know whoa i know no i didn’t add
anything to it i think it’s done i think that’s
really thick i wouldn’t go anymore i’d get
it out of the pan and into a jar okay because
once it cools it will thicken up a little
bit right so a half gallon made 64 oz container
of cider made half a cup this much ya half
a cup that would be really good on pancakes
ya or biscuits oh my gosh biscuits with butter
